January 24, 2020

This presentation will discuss differences in the success/failure of Three Rivers Park District AIS management efforts from 1990 to 2012, contrasting activities supported by adequate research data with activities not supported by good data. The presentation will also discuss the need for interdisciplinary research efforts to address the effect of terrestrial invasive species on aquatic resources and show examples of collaborative research efforts to increase potential funding options. Finally, the need for increased research outreach in the current climate of scientific denial is discussed.
