Thesis Title: Invertebrate communities on large woody debris in the St. Croix River

Current Position: Planning Team Coordinator

I am the coordinator for the St.Croix Basin Water Resources Planning Team. This partnership organization consists of representatives from the National Park Service (NPS), Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources WNDR), Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), Metropolitan Council
Environmental Services (MCES), Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), University of Wisconsin Extension (UWExt), US Geological Survey (USGS), and the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR). Our organization has 4 goals:
1) Protect and improve the quality of the surface and groundwater resources of the St. Croix.
2) Provide a forum for water resources managers to integrate local, state, and federal policy.
3)Increase public participation and knowledge in water quality management 
4)Project development and implementation

As the coordinator, I am responsible for the following activities:
1)I recently completed our St. Croix Basin Water Resources Planning Status Report
2)Coordinate, research, and assist in the implementation of our action plans from the Planning Status Report
2)Organize and facilitate basin team and subcommittee meetings
3)Coordinate the volunteer monitoring program on Lake St. Croix
4)Develop the water resource education component of the St. Croix Basin website 
5)Coordinate the yearly nutrient and sediment conference
6)Write funding proposals for projects
7)Serve as a liaison to other organizations serving the St. Croix Basin
