Water Resources Science Student Symposium

October 24, 2009:  9am-3pm

We will gather at the
St. Croix Watershed Research Station
16910 152nd St. N.
Marine on St. Croix MN 55047

north of Stillwater, MN (a map can be found at http://www.smm.org/static/science/pdf/scwrs_map.pdf).

We will make housing arrangements for Duluth students who would like to come down on Friday afternoon or want to return Sunday morning.

Lunch will be provided courtesy of the Water Resources Center.

We hope to have two oral presentation sessions and a poster session over lunch highlighting the body of work accomplished by WRS students. This is intended to be a friendly, informal environment for those wishing to practice upcoming presentations (including defenses!) or just share some ideas and exciting results about their interests.

Carpooling will be arranged for those who need it.

Several people have expressed interest in hiking or canoeing if the weather cooperates. If you are interested as well bring appropriate clothes, etc....

RSVP for the October 24th Water Resources Science Student Symposium by Wednesday, 10/21/09 at noon. We are still looking for presenters. The presentations can be as formal or informal as you like. We welcome all contributions!

Please RSVP to Jill Coleman Wasik (colemajk@umn.edu) or Pat Sherman (psherman@umn.edu) and let us know your carpooling needs, food preferences (veggie or not), housing needs, and whether you have a poster or oral presentation you’d like to share.
