Job Description:
Barb works for the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve, California (which is a partnership between NOAA and CA DFG). Her job is to develop a plan with input from resource managers, scientists, and community members for the conservation and restoration of estuarine habitats that are facing dramatic marsh loss and the rapid erosion of channels and tidal creeks. Barb was previously a Knauss Fellowship recipient, and in Washington D.C. in 2003 on a fellowship with a legislative or executive branch U.S. government agency.
