Job Description:
Matt works with chemical contaminant issues that are of concern to 11
Chippewa Indian Tribes in northern WI, MN, and MI that are represented
by the inter-tribal natural resource agency known as the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC). He studies mercury and organic
contaminants in fish from Lake Superior and inland lakes. His duties
include writing project plans, analyzing data, writing reports
on data, and presenting it at scientific meetings and to the public. He also works on contaminant issues with the Lake Superior Binational Program.
